from the College of Creative Arts
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. We are the College of Creative Arts, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), the home of a new age of creative industrial futures.
College of Creative Arts (CCA) was established on February 3, 2022 by immersing UiTM 2025 Strategic Plan to restructure the 26 academic entities comprising faculties and centre of studies into 10 colleges. Hence, CCA is one of the college, designed by combining the 3 main creative faculties: Faculty of Art and Design, Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation and Faculty of Music. Our primary administrative and management offices are now located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
This harmonious combination of three faculties is viewed as a chance for our students to improve their ability to recognise their strengths and prepare for the nation's fourth industrial revolution (IR 4.0). IR 4.0 is the digital revolution that has been unfolding since the mid-nineteenth century. It is defined by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the borders between the physical, digital, and biological realms. Therefore, CCA is equipping young graduates with virtual reality, augmented reality, and humanistic knowledges to enter a completely new digital-based sector. We are here to assist students in widening their horizons and immersing themselves in rewarding experiences in order to further develop their creative potential.
UiTM is cognizant of the fast changes occurring in the worldwide landscape of higher education as a result of technological advancements, and this academic restructuring is designed to meet the industry's relevance requirements. CCA was founded on the principle of unleash creative potential via the integration of fundamental arts disciplines into innovative multi- and inter-disciplinary academic programmes. Additionally, our academic framework featured the 2u1i programmes, which emphasise work-based learning. Students will spend two years at the university and the last year working directly in the business, allowing them to excel intellectually and practically. As a result, CCA offers 3 PhD, 9 Master's Degrees, 29 Bachelor's Degrees, and 16 Diploma programmes with an emphasis on practical skills, cognitive abilities, entrepreneurial mindsets, and more competitive employability graduates across its campuses in Selangor, Perak, Kedah, Melaka, Kelantan, and Sarawak.
In terms of teaching and learning, CCA’s lecturers are fully capable in handling classes via MOOCs and other online platform as well as the physical classes. Our facilities and equipment are also at the best condition in order to train the students as if they are in the real industry. These privileges to our students is certainly to assist them in achieving the best throughout the study.
